While H.R.45 does not completely remove your rights as a gun owner its the first step!

A wise man once said:
" We were given the RIGHT to defend ourselves for a reason. Weather it be from bears, Indians (originally), or some jackass WITH AN ILLEGAL GUN trying to harm my family today, that RIGHT was granted us by our forefathers with a purpose. They knew, not thought, they KNEW there would be times that a person would need a means of defending themselves from harm, this was their COLLECTIVE decision on the most logical way of doing so. We as a society need to take a lesson from that, and collectively make sure that decision is not discarded as a mistake. "
The bill looks particularly nasty. If there was ever a time to stand up and be counted, that time is now. Do not sit idly by and watch as yet another liberty is stripped away.
- Require licensing for anybody that owns a gun.
- Would require photographs and a thumbprint
- Would require passage of a test that covers:
- the safe storage of firearms, particularly in the vicinity of persons who have not attained 18 years of age
- the safe handling of firearms
- the use of firearms in the home and the risks associated with such use
- the legal responsibilities of firearms owners, including Federal, State, and local laws relating to requirements for the possession and storage of firearms, and relating to reporting requirements with respect to firearms
- any other subjects, as the Attorney General determines to be appropriate
Other gems in this bill:
- mandates licensing, registration and safe storage for handguns and semi-automatic rifles with detachable magazines
- provides for inspection, so you surrender your fourth amendment rights by being licensed.
- requires reporting of Lost and Stolen firearms, and you must inform the federal government if you change addresses.
